Kickboxing
Our kickboxing class designed for beginners and those looking to refine their basic techniques. Each class will focus on 1-2 basic components of kickboxing or Muay Thai. Classes will start with a warm-up, jump rope, and shadowboxing and will include a combination of partner drills, padwork, and bagwork.
Kickboxing Beginner Foundations (Wednesdays)
This class is built for beginners with 0–6 months of experience, but it’s also a valuable space for experienced practitioners to refine their technique and timing in a controlled setting.
Each session begins with a dynamic warm-up to activate your body and prepare for movement. You’ll progress through shadowboxing to practice core striking techniques—kicks, punches, knees, and footwork—before moving into structured partner work. Partner drills may include pad work, bag work, and basic defensive movements.
There is no sparring or full-contact fighting in this class. The focus is on control, precision, and building confidence in the fundamentals, while still delivering a high-intensity, full-body workout.
Please bring your own hand wraps and gloves if you have them. We do have loaner gear available if needed. If this is your first class, arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can walk you through how to wrap your hands and introduce you to the space.
If you have any injuries or movement limitations, let us know before class. Kickboxing places greater physical demands on the lower body, hips, and balance than boxing, so modifications will be provided where needed to ensure you can participate safely and effectively.
Required equipment: Boxing gloves and hand wraps (available for purchase at the front)
We have some lender equipment for first-timers but you will need your own equipment if you decide to join the class!
